Just a little copy and paste i think i should do here since it helps and i posted elsewhere:
If you look, in standard game play, VOIP is turned off, which means there is no voice chat. (Look it up in the games booklet, Page 21 it describes standard mode. For VOIP description go to Freeplay--->Private Game--->Match Settings--->Hover over Public VOIP.) Forming a fire team is suppost to create a private voice channel, but so far no one seems to have a mic or it doesn't work.(For fire team Info refer to page 21 Under the stopwatch category.) I've seen a pattern with the game modes. If friendly fire is on, VOIP is on. I don't play anything but standard, but i know for sure that in standard that people play with mics but you don't see, or at least hear them. I've played a game where i was invited into a party by people in my lobby with mics.
This is most peoples problem. If you wanna talk, Try a fire team, or make a party chat. Unless you play advanced or old skool.
Resistance!
