What disgusts you

something else that really grosses me out is sponge holders, they always fill up with dainty water and the sponge/scrubber always just meanders in the scummy water.
I just cleaned out my toilet brush holder.. scummy water indeed :ermm:

the thing is, after changing diapers until my son evolved into undies.. :celebration: ..how much worse can life get?? baby poo is like nuclear waste, only stickier.

edit:
the sewers under Paris have a fragrance all it's own as well I might add... :yucky:

Other things that gross me out...

As others have mentioned, the fatty globs in meat, like steak. I also get a little weirded out with red meat, I prefer to have it cooked to the point where it is all brownish (no red or even pink). I prefer any meat that I eat - be it red or white - to come with plenty of flavoring and sauce.

You have just described my worst nightmare. My steaks are all medium-rare to rare - anything else is immediately relegated to be chopped up into little bits and tossed with broccoli or something. Flavouring and sauce? Christ on a pogo-stick, why don't you just eat hamburger patties instead?

I haven't met anyone yet that got food poisoning from eating steak rare- med rare. I cook steaks like that everyday where I work.

Double standards disgust me. And society is full of them, and they are really starting to piss me off.

Thieves and criminals disgust me; I was watching a comedy the other day where the two main people are burgled and threatened by a bunch of hoodies and even though it was a comedy I punch the desk in frustration that somewhere out there these damn people exist.

Actually, another just came to mind. It's one of those disgusts that makes you ashamed to be a part of the human race.

the downtown area in my city has 4 methadone clinics [if you don't know what that is. They are clinics which distribute meth to addicts in small doses which are supposed to help them get clean over a period of time]. Now, you can walk from one end of my downtown to the other in about... 20 minutes, so it's not a large place. Now we also have a few homeless scattered throughout. They don't ask for money, they don't get in anyones way and they keep to themselves. A few of them are actually social as well. Alot of people talk to them on a daily basis, because they aren't homeless due to poor choices [one lost everything in a divorce, including his job because his wife complained to his boss about him -- never went in any deeper than that], and he never recovered from it. Another two were General Motors workers who lost their jobs due to the economy going bad and them losing their jobs. So they aren't bad people, just bad luck.

Well I used to work in the downtown area, i'd be at work by 6:30 am and I would leave depending how fast work would finish for me [run out of ingredients for the daily supply of candy I made [usually would end between 3pm-6pm]. After work one day, I had left to go get my bus around 4:40pm, or sometime close to that, and one of the homeless guys was sleeping against a wall [out of peoples way], holding onto a bag of stuff he had [small bag, not big]. And these two guys, probably about 19 years old each, walked up to him and started trying to take the guys bag, and harassing him. That bus route was always pretty busy, so I tapped the shoulder of a guy next to me [about 35 years old] and I pointed over to what was happening. [Keep in mind, these are homeless guys we all talked to before // after work], and needless to say. Mr.Giant there that I tapped wasn't to happy about it and ended up grabbing one guy by the back of the head and smashing it off the wall they were at, and then he pushed both of them away from the guy on the ground.

The guy who had his face hit off the wall tried to hit the guy and ended up getting throttled until he got up off the ground and ran away [was definitely awesome to watch a typical [censored] gangster get his ass kicked], and I went into a Coffee Time [on the corner of the bus stop] and bought Mr.Giant and Mr.Homeless guy a coffee.

Needless to say I was absolutely appalled at anyone who'd attack a homeless person who did not deserve it in the least. But I also feel better about it because it restored some faith in humanity, watching a guy who could of easily been charged for assault [and judging by how hard the guys face hit the wall] could of even been construed as attemped murder] stand up for someone whom he only knew from casual conversation a couple times a week, without any regard for himself.

I still have no respect for people who acts like gangsters.

after the un ratified 1556 which was to disarm the (jangeweed) militias, the aid organizations went back into the Darfur from the refugee camps in Chad. I worked for a security company and was attached to a medicines sans frontiers / crescent rouge group in the Murnei IDP camp, on the road to Nyala.

BTW, you should ask the mods to capitalize that 'O'.

I'm not that old, yet..

? its been happening for thousands of years. I don't know why it would drive some one to punch something just knowing that it happens.

I've worked for three different PSC's since I was in the service, all told over twenty years active. Believe me, I know worse. I've witnessed how the Pakistani security and intelligence forces interrogate insurgency suspects.
It's not that you don't believe it, it's that you don't want to believe it. But that doesn't make it less true.

I, too, believe in Old Andy. None of the stories he's shared are that far-fetched. And we do care about him.

First of all, methadone clinics give methadone to heroin addicts to help them get clean, not meth.

Anyways, I just want to say congrats for being so awesome in that situation, not many people would give two [censored] about a homeless guy getting hassled, but you went past the surface on that one. I wish more people in the city would do stuff like that.

Ah, another thing I cannot stand. Eggs that I did not cook myself. Don't know why.

But one thing that does not disturb me, so I can see now, is my own blood. I itched a bad mosquito bite that was actually a scab, it's going everywhere, but I'm just fine.

Ya, sorry heroine.

And I would of hit the guy myself but. I got this phobia -- ending up in jail with a cellmate named Bubba, who finds that I have a nice perky ass he'd like to violate

Just thought of another one - I just made myself dippy eggs and soldiers, and one of the eggs wasn't cooked enough and some of the egg white was still all clear and slimy. :yucky: I really wanted that egg as well.

Hmm... Grew up on a farm shoveling manure and butchering my own deer, pork, and cattle. Worked in a super-max prison.

Nothing bothers me anymore.

No offense Andy, but your stories sound a little far fetched. IMO, I don't think they're true, but that's just me. :violin:
