What should I get?

Post » Wed May 18, 2011 7:57 pm

So I've got a temp job for the next 4 weeks (already done 2 of them), and I've worked out I should end up with about £2000 overall. I'm moving into more expensive accomodation at uni next year so I want to save some money for that, probably a bit more than half, so I can probably spend about £750 on whatever I want, but I can't really decide what. I only have a laptop (although it runs most games fine), so I was thinking I could build a PC, but it's going to take up pretty much all of the money, when my laptop does everything I want it to. Another option is a PS3, I have a 360 already but the PS3 has some really good looking exclusives, and would leave me money for a nice TV to play it on. I also quite want a 3DS, even though most of the launch titles look terrible, or an iPhone. Anyone have any suggestions?

Strip club.

EDIT: Yes, all 750 at the strip club in one night. Go alone or take a female you're not interested in.

Save it?

I dunno. I've made a lot of very poor financial decisions so, I suggest saving it.

If you are dead set on buying something expensive I'd go with either building yourself a PC or buying an HD TV. :D

I'm sure this one is fairly obvious, but I'd wait til after E3 is all wrapped up to decide if you're set on a new system. Possible price drops, PSP2 info (since you're interested in the 3DS), Project Cafe, new titles revealed, etc.

Knowing what kind of info we'll be getting the next few days I can't say I'd recommend anything right now.

You can always recommend a nice PC. I know I do! ;)

If you really must spend it, I would suggest you spend it on clothing. A really nice winter coat and a pair of shoes should set you back a few hundred pounds. Save the rest as a rainy day fund.

Buy me a new PC, 'cause you're my bestest friend ever and all. Did I mention how awesome I think you are?

Maybe he could buy you an entire entertainment system? I just bought myself a new computer that I built (relatively) recently. Along with a 40" flatscreen. But I bought that last year, so that probably doesn't count.

I can give you my old 20" if you want.

lottery.

Bout time you toss your money in stock market. Just make sure it won't render you in debt.
