That feel.

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 1:18 am

When you play a game or enjoy a book/movie but no one you know has played or read/seen the movie.
You really want to talk about it and discuss it but you can't. :sadvaultboy:

So, anyone else besides me in that spot? I enjoy live conversations about things I like.

Everyone enjoys talking about things that they like.

My favourite subject by far is ladies under garments. Some of them are quite tricky. The thing that stumped me turned out to be a front-hooking bra. Who knew?!

Ah yes. I do know that feel. That feel that I get whenever I see or think about it. I will never forget what it did. Never.

Man I just played DM (still got HH to go, lol behind I know), and I wanted to talk about it at work but on one here has even played New Vegas. A few played fallout 3 (and think its the first fallout ) but I don't think ill ever find someone around here who love fallout as much as I do.

Hey, as you probably know, you want people to talk about Fallout 3, New Vegas, and any other game you like, there will be at least 20 other people here who like it too. Strangely enough, a lot of people that frequent these boards actually don't like any of Bethasda's games, they just like the community.

I feel that way with Inception. I want so badly to discuss it with my friends, but none of them have seen it yet!

Yeah I feel that way, I like older films and have nobody to discuss them with. And it feels stupid when an old movie seems all brand new and amazing to me and I want to talk about it. Then there's somebody like my dad who would be old enough and be a potential person to talk about such film but he forgot about plot of such film :(

For example I recently watched Zordoz which was a Sean Connery film made in 70's which nobody my age has seen and probably wouldn't have the attention span and wouldn't be interested in because its old. Then I tell my dad "Hey dad I just watched Zordoz" he says "Oh that movie I saw that years ago I don't remember what it was about".

Or even worse I saw a black and white movie on turner classic movies called Johnny Cool which was a 1950's (I think) hit man movie and thought it was a really good movie. Then it turns out its a movie that not even my dad has heard of and he's ancient. None of my friends have heard of it, and I'm sure if you're reading my post you probably haven't heard of it either.

I know the feeling

Its usually the other way around with me when it comes to the opposite six, a lot of GFs I've had either don't play video games or the ones that have played games don't like the games I like.

Hmm, "that feel" describes:
- most of the fantasy novels I've read
- a few of the video games I have played
- most of the comic books I have read
- all the nature documentaries I watch

I'm sure I could find forums for all this stuff, but I'd rather talk to people face-to-face.

Solution - expand your friendship circles. The law of averages dictates that you'll find at least someone you can talk to about this sort of stuff.

I know, and the orginal FO-1/2 are such great classic games like Wing commander Privateer (no on GOG!)

No way, morrowind is great!
I compare morrowind and New Vegas because they both contain great writing and plenty of skill checks and such.
