L.A. Noir

So, I picked up L.A. Noir yesterday out of boredom and I'm really quite impressed with it. It has gameplay mechanics that are a cross between Red Dead Redemption and GTA and the controls are quite easy.

But, I am left feeling like I'm supposed to be doing more. Especially when it comes to the random "cases" that you come across. Especially with those involving hostages and "shots-fired" calls.

What I am wondering is, am I supposed to be doing something to de-escalate the situation? More times than not I'm killing everyone involved. Is there a way to wound the perps to get them to jail? Or do I have to just kill everyone?

All in all I'm really enjoying this game. Its very well done and like I said, it reminds me a lot of Red Dead Redemption with the mechanics.

Also, I have a question in regards to pre-orders. The game I bought was a pre-order exclusive content left over that apparently no-one picked up. I don't have internet for my 360 or house for that matter. Can I DL the content via the PC and then install it to a CD or Card and install it to my XBOX? If this isn't allowed then I'll hold off on DLing the content that came with the game until I do get internet at home.

Nope.

You could take the Xbox to a friends place who has internet service and do it that way, or wait for your own line if you're not that desperate for it.

Well, if the criminals are shooting at you, there is really no other options then killing them. If the criminal is running, you can chase him down, but shooting him doesn't impact you negatively.

Yeah, when they are shooting at me I don't have issue with it. But there was that one guy during "The Perfect Marriage" or something like that and I was chasing him but ended up shooting him in the back twice and I felt bad like I should've been able to arrest him.

The other thing I find really well done with this game is the interrogation. I'm a rather poor judgment of character and fail a lot of these.
