So JC has been interested in a lot of mobile/portable development. Do you think Id would make any thing for the NGP? Considering Sony said that PS3 stuff can be ported over. I mean they could possible kill a few texture/polygons and get rage on there. Or they could make a bigger version of Orcs&Elves or Doom RPG.

NGP seems to have a lot of power and I feel Id can use it to make a new IP or a version of an existing IP for the NGP. May be an NGP version of Mutant BASH or a combat rally only version of Rage.

I wouldn't expect the NGP to be ready this year but late next year. Once it is ready I think we will see something from id, but I don't think it will be Rage.

The NGP looks good, but I think Sony will have a hard time competing with the next iPhone and iOS. A very hard time, because I think the next iPhone will have NGP graphics.

Yea but no physical buttons. It's just my preference, I'd rather play a game like Metal Gear with physical buttons than a touch screen or hell even God Of War

Carmack already talked about this, he says the NGP will be at least a generation ahead of the next generation of smartphones.

I do not think that is possible, id software does not confirm and that means no rage for PSP.
