Justice, Guards & Bounties
Thread I

Now we finally know how the 'bounty system' works, it is time to open a discussion about that. For the ones who don't know about it yet, this is how it works: There are 9 zones in Skyrim, each ruled by their arl. If you have a bounty in zone A, the guards won't know about that in zone B. That means we finally got rid of the psychic guards, and a more realistic justice system we ever had.

Although we still have questions about this new information.
1) If you have a bounty in zone A, will guards never know you have a bounty in zone B?
2) If Q1 is no, how long does it take until the other zones find out about it?
3) If Q1 is no, will it depend on the statuses between the zones? Will friendly ones 'share' their bounties, and enemies won't?
4) If Q1 is yes, will the arl of zone A send a group of mercenaries or bounty hunters after you into other zones?
5) If Q4 is yes, will you be able to be a bounty hunter yourself?
6) If Q5 is yes, will there be a bounty hunter faction?

7) If Q1 is no, does it depend on the crime? A murder will be shared with other zones, but stealing a book won't. (by dirishman9)

More questions to be added.

Discuss.

i am really hoping that the other zones find out depending on the crime. If you steal a bunch of stuff like books and clothes then who cares you will be dealt with in that zone. but if you murder guards and residence then the other zones should find out via a messenger within a couple hours and bounty hunters should chase you down
I am digging the bounty hunters guild

Yeah, I think that sounds good. Once you have a murdered someone, they will notify the other zones but for stealing books it won't be necessary. Unless it is a very expensive book/scroll like the one you stole at the end on thieves guild.

Good to know that guards will not be mind-readers and know that you have stolen something in one place, when you are in a completely different settlement from the place you stole from. Glad the justice/bounty system is being improved.
