How to Use Battle Charge i Unlocked it butI dont know how to use it??

As I understand it, Battle Charge is when you pick a spell like lightning and hold the spell button (Q on PC's) so that it charges your partner with that element. Not to be confused with Spell Link, which is when you both do it simultaneously to each other... anyway, I may be competlely wrong, but that is how I understand it.
