Another U3 title you have to work for to get to shine

Well got it today, fired it up, everything working. In typical U3 fashion, mouse was way too sensitive, adjust logitech software, ultimately adjust U3 ini dropping it from 60 to 30 and turn smoothing off, now PERFECT. Do a little adjustment in the .ini for graphics, in typical U3 fashion, was a little jittery cleared that up, PERFECT. Game is glass with proper mouse response. This simply can make or break a game, without doing it I can understand some hating it.

Co-op worked for us, I have a static ip simply for games like this. Performance was PERFECT.

We really enjoy the game, less one thing that is whack. When a player goes down you have 10 seconds to revive the player or it's game over. 10 seconds may sound like a lot but it's about 15 seconds to short. You can be quite a distance from another, no mini-map (the trail does help) but in battle it's hard to break multiple enemies. I've searched for an ini to adjust that timer, no luck. I have to play on easy because one down man is pretty much restart. Bummed about this one, I hear in single player a down AI lasts indefinitely.

That game is going to be fun and last some time if you play it to get to every "flashy" you see. If you just run through the corridors, yep it will be over much faster. I say get your $50 worth.

That said, if you just pick up the game, don't invest in setup to get it all smoothed out and on top of that can't get coop to work, I can understand the hatred. However get it all right I can see it's going to be a real good two player game.

It's Fantasy Gears of War with a treasure hunting.

Developers imo have to be more understanding how this game plays on many systems from the go. It was pretty rough on my end and it takes a little know how to make it shine. Perhaps this game plays perfect on some rigs with the defaults. But many it won't, your customers will come away with a poor feeling towards the game. There needs to be some type of Option setting to adjust things I adjust in the ini to make the game much more representative of a smooth experience.

Thanks for the hints. Forgive my ignorance but what do you mean by U3?
Edit: Got it! You mean the Unreal 3 engine...

Yep that is fine, just stating my opinion. On Steam Forums someone mentioned you only need line of sight to revive. I just took the standard you have to be very close, if los works then that will help in reviving. If you have to get close and we all know playing online, people desperate some, that 10 seconds is fast.

Regarding the mouse using my logitech desktop settings going into the game are just overly sensitive, that can vary mouse to mouse, setup to setup. It's when you take the slider all the way to the left and it's still way too fast, your left with modifying files. To me any acceleration on this mouse on the desktop with the stock mouse setting just made the camera too maddening.

this is funny - i run best with a microsoft-mouse and standard-settings in Win7.
(no special intelli-point-configuration or anything).

i'm also a fan of clean installed OS'. all the additional software-crap for hardware - its just slowing down or making games overly senstitive ;-) (i guess) hihihi

I can run a $15 Dynex mouse with no software and perhaps not have an issue, not really the point. The point is if your mouse with your setup is still too sensitive you can adjust an ini setting.

Now as for crap-software, unfortunately in this day an age there are still enough application that don't allow for proper reconfiguring of keys. So things like Logitechs software allows for that and much more. Then the 10 buttons on my mouse, you need something extra.

Not sure where the elitism comes from, my system runs above common standards, assuming most people boot more then once every two months, and I laugh because that is Vista!
