What are the odds of these creatures returning?

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 10:16 am

Bears (hoping for polar bear)
Boars
Deer
Minotaurs
Mudcrabs
Slaughterfish?

asking as I found deers fun to hunt unarmed. just chasing and punching them to death amused me. Boars provided fairly fun fights at low levels, and Minotaurs are just awesome.

I'm interested in Slaughterfish as I want the waters to at elast have somethign in them. And, of course, Mudcrabs were very cool. I'm part of an online group of mudcrab enthusiasts so I personally would love to ehar any information on them returning.

I think all of those things are pretty much certain. Maybe not minotaurs or boar.

Bears (hoping for polar bear)

It's Skyrim, I think bears will definitely have to be in there. I think I remember a dialogue line in Morrowind about bears in Morrowind.\

Boars

I hope so. :D

Deer

The player-character is stalking one for a few seconds in the trailer, so confirmed.

Minotaurs

I think the player's fighting a minotaur in one of the screenshots floating around. I may be wrong, though.

Mudcrabs

How could there be 60,000 lines of dialogue without mudcrabs to take up 50,000 of them.

Slaughterfish?

I hope so.

I expect to see all of those except maybe boars and minotaurs, and even then, I'm not saying I don't think they'll be in the game, I just don't feel as certain about it as the others. Mudcrabs and slaughterfish seem to pretty much be standard in the series now, and deer and bears would just seem to fit the setting of Skyrim perfectly, in fact, I seem to recall one screenshot showing a deer.

Mudcrabs for sure, what would the denizens of Skyrim have to talk about if they didn't appear?

Boars, more specifically Tusked Bristlebacks I think are very likely.

Minotaurs, almost absolutely not.

Bears 100% for sure. Probably the reason why Stephen Colbert isn't going to get Skyrim.

Deers, maybe, maybe not. Definitely Elk though.

Slaughterfish I'm not particularly sure about either. Probably not.

I think all those creatures could return.
Bears (hoping for polar bear)

The island of Solsthiem (Bloodmoon) had snow bears which you could compare to 'polar' bears. ;)

bears and boars are a certainty since they make since in a rugged skyrim environment. i think i read sonwhere where theyre both confirmed (but it was an unnoficial info thread so who knows)
deer are also a certainty, or a cousin like elk and moose and whatnot
minotaurs are very unlikely
mudcrabs are a staple of TES gams so theyre definitely in
and slaughterfish, or some cold adapted relative, is very likely

Minatours would be cool because I know the model would be a lot better in sjyrim then the horrible oblivion ones. But I seen a polar bear in the concept art video and basically whatever was in that vid is confirmed.

Minotaurs would be even better in this game seeing as the new combat system would prevent running away easily from their big warhammers.
