They removed the skill, not character's fists.

My disposition is the same as yours, I never used it.

However I know a lot of people did use it so they will probably be a little miffed about it.

First off, there's already a topic about this, so unfortunately this is probably gonna get locked. But also, they said that hand to hand is no longer a skill, but that doesn't mean there won't be hand-to-hand combat at all. It will probably just go under the "two-handed" skill.

An entire race in Tamriel used it... But, it might be good news, if they merged it with one-handed weapons.

Khajiit would no longer be forced to fight without weapons the same way everyone else is, as, instead of having Fists equipped as their natural weapons, they'd have Claws!

One-handed. Not two-handed. Hands operate independently from each other. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to stab people in the face with one hand, and punch them in the face with the other.

Lots of opinions and discussion about the skill's removal in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1197498-hand-to-hand-removed-thread-ii/, which is the second major one and also links back to the first for those who want to recap a large number of posts/thoughts on the situation. :)

Okay, I'm getting angry now...

Not because this is the fifth thread about this, but because AGAIN, when some new info shows up, what becomes the most hotly debated topic? The new screenshots? The new dragonshouts? The fact that horses are confirmed?
No, we debate about what was removed... all. the. freaking. time...

Yes, it's not in the game, they could've made it better, but they couldn't or didn't wanted to, so they removed it. Why? Because they can.

Hear hear. Everyone seem to be all negative about Skyrim complaining left, right and centre.lol Like said above the skill is removed not the fact we cannot punch things, it makes sense though hand to hand made things feel fake, like the fact you could raise it so high you could kill a Minotaur or Troll just using your fists which unless you are Chuck Norris is completely stupid. It will likely be add into two-handed weapons just because well if you can wield a claymore with great strength then you should by default carry quite the punch, so it is in a way balancing out the game.

I never used it, so meh. I don't care. Besides that, it was most likely removed to make room for Smithing, which actually sounds appealing to me. I'm curious to see how it's handled.

It seems obvious that punching will still be in the game, maybe even perks. Time will tell.

Don't see why it would've been in the game in the 1st place, all the one-hander dual wielding did way more dmg anyway

Then stop doing it.

People see things they don't like. They say they don't like them. Then YOU take it upon yourself to come busting into the thread to "debate" whether or not they're entitled to not like what they don't like.

So just come to terms with the fact that other people will have opinions different from yours and stop trying to "debate" them over it.

Problem solved.

That's all well and good, but he is perfectly within his rights to lament about the community around him. I can't say he's alone in his sentiments. People can feel free to complain about what they don't like, but it's really annoying when it's just about the only thing they do. People complained that we wouldn't be able to rind horses which would "force" fast travel on them. Horses are re-confirmed, and an additional carriage travel system was added. Did anyone care enough to make threads of excitement? Not really. They moved on and found something new to complain about.

This thread is a perfectly good point of discussion. I am also a little upset that Hand to Hand has been removed as a skill (or perhaps just merged with one of the two weapon skills). However, there are a few other threads about this same topic. We don't need to clutter the forum with the same complaint. OP didn't know, so I'm not really bothered or anything, but for everyone, a good general rule is to make a search for the topic you want to start before you actually make it. If you don't see it already created, then you're in the clear. Or even just browse the front two pages.

Oh, I'm not debating about opinions, I tend to question the reasoning behind the opinions, because they tend to be flawed...

Not to mention the ridiculous conclusions some people jump to..

Exactly they said they removed the skill not that if you have no weapon you can not fight it would be soooo dumb if you couldnt. I bet we still will be able to if not it will probobly be one of the first mods to come out with 100k copys of it lol.

yeah, guys i honostly didnt mean to start anything, i didnt see the other topics about this. But yeah, i didnt mean not having the ability to punch at all, but the skill itself.

i mainly used punches to kill time by wrecking random NPC's shops.
