'In Skyrim Guilds will interact with one another and the mai

Apologies if this is a repost, but I couldn't see any threads on it.

In a summation of the Playstation magazine article on PCgamer.com, this line stood out - 'In Oblivion these [Guilds] provided their own insular quest lines, but in Skyrim they will interact with one another and the main story.'

Link - http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/06/03/skyrim-has-60000-lines-of-dialogue-new-dragon-shouts-revealed-horses-confirmed/

Would could Guilds 'interacting' with the main story mean? I'm hoping this means they only 'interact' when one has joined a Guild and started the Main Quest. The fact that they 'interact' with eachother does sound great, but I'm slightly dubious on how they might work concerning the main quest (whatever that actually means).

Thoughts?

I thought of it something like this;

You know in Oblivion, if you completed the Fighter's guild quest line before the Main Quest, you couldn't enlist the aid of the Fighter's Guild for the Battle of Bruma which was quite silly imo, I run the guild yet I can't do anything with the men that will actually help me apart from get them to collect gold and loot for me. Well thanks! I really needed other people to go adventuring for me! :banghead:

Interacting Guilds in Skyrim maybe means you will finally be able to use your ties to a guild for help in a seperate quest or guild. Or something like that.

Hopefully this means you can't join whatever guild you want. It makes no sense to just join every guild in the game and become the master. And hopefully we have prerequisites again.

ahh, that sounds like a really nice idea if you're right.

to poster above - yeah I also hope it means we can't join all the guilds.

I must've skipped this line in the summary! This is amazing, and was one of my big hopes for guilds. Thanks Bethesda! :tes:

It'll be like faction relationships in Morrowind. Great thing too.

EDIT: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Factions#Reaction_Table's a table for all the non-Morrowind playing individuals.

Agreed. Many, many quests in Morrowind were directly related to the MQ- whether it's the ash statues plaguing Redoran, the numerous "go kill Dagoth (blank)" quests for various factions, etc.

Walk halfway back along the Morrowind-Oblivion road, turn at an intersection and go along your new way, forging a game with the strengths of Oblivion and the depth of Morrowind (as well as a good number of new things). This is all just fantastic news.

This. They'll prolly return to the way Morrowind handled guilds.
