It has a door and a fast travel icon but you can't enter the shop, which is apparently mission critical for the Rangefinder thingy.

I can't seem to get in either.

I just found this on the fallout wikia, I was able to get in after using it, it was tricky, I had to look in a different direction from the door

ps3 The door to the pawnshop is sometimes not accessible. The image of the door is there but you can not interact with it. The way to be able to interact with the door is to go to 3rd person view with L2 and crouch. While crouched in 3rd person the door interaction should appear near the door handle and the window. Sometimes it helps to be standing right up against the door a little to the right and looking slightly left. You may need to hold down the L2 button to use the "look around" feature to get the door text to appear.

hes right, it worked.

same thing happened with the Q-35 matter modulator, cant get it. i tries going in 3rd person and looking around but nothing. never tried zooming in though like i did with the door, ill go back to the HQ and try again

EDIT: nope, still nothin' any ideas? dont care too much, this is a guns character, but it better load properly on my next guy.

I had that same problem. Once your outside the door when our in 3rd person rotate the camera and then the open door will show up
