fine whatever. i thought it might be alittle over powered since archery is much stronger this time around

Truit hadn't thought of that.

And they better let us drink potions more than once.

I can't tell if you're mocking me or not...

In Oblivion, my stealth PC uses potions-poisons on her arrows with great results. The best is a 5 effect potion made from Harrada, Spiddal Stick, Frost Salts, and Milk Thistle. Damage Health 8 points for 30 seconds, Damage Magic 15/61, Silence 26 sec, Frost Damage 9/38 and Paralyze 3 sec. At Master level, two of those will take down about anything. If shot at long range, the timed effect of one shot will kill 'whatever' before they can get to you (most of the time). The 3 second Paralyze is just long enough to get off a second shot if they are close. Three of the ingredients are found inside the Oblivion Gates and the Milk Thistle is found just north of Dragon Claw Rock. Or just tour around to the various venders and buy them. Would not go inside an Oblivion Gate without 30 of them.

poisons should be much more lethal than they were in oblivion. the most lethal poisons should kill your character within a couple of minutes unless you cure it with a high level cure poison potion. no spells, no generic cure diseas potions but a high level potion that is very rare and very expensive. obviously that kind of poison shouldnt be available to every bandit or maurauder on the road but to high level assassins or necromancers etc.

id also like to see poisons that have different effects like silence, blindness (as in your screen goes dark or bright white in and out for say 30 seconds. dramatic loss in speed or carrying ability so that you have to drop loot to get moving again. poisons that suffocate you so that you lose stamina very rapidly and it regens slower. etc. poisons should me a much more useful and viable alternative to spellcasting. in previous TES games it wasnt worth the effort because they had spells that did the same thing that cost you nothing to cast.

it would also be nice because stealthy assassins shouldnt be casting bright shiny spells all the time when they are trying to hide.

@tmar.........that sounds like a really good poison. i tried making some but since i was playing a heavily modded game where everthing including my player character could be killed in a couple of hits it ended up not mattering.

Just one thing wrong there Your charcter die from one poison??? But what if your charcter is poor and just brought a brand new sword? He/she can't afford a rare potion.

POISON should be the damaging of health, not fatigue, which was really annoying..... I want a poison that helps kill my enemy, not makes them more tired....

I personally think they should add the option to filter out effects so you can pull poison out of more items, or choose to use a potion as a poison if 3/4 of its effects are negative.
The effect filter is the major thing to me, it was one of the biggest problems in oblivion alchemy. Maybe make the filter fail sometimes on new ingredients (so you are better at creating a poison with familiar items)

You do realize the type of effect depended on the ingredients right? You could already make damage health poisons.
A poison that tires your enemies is also useful though.

NEW IDEA: poison should affect NPCs and combative enemies differently. heres what i mean... jack the farmer is an ordinary jack. the black hand wants me to kill him. i put a thumb tack on his door knob coated with poison... he gets poisoned. minutes later he's dead. immediately.

bob the bandit lives in skyrim solely to make your life miserable. you poke him with something poisonous and he immediately starts taking continous damage.

thiefs aren't alchemists so i think there should be an easier way to obtain potent poisons. assuming alchemy isn't as broken as it was in OB

Hopefully we will be able to make our own poisoned apples this time....and poison other kinds of food beside apples!

Yes, I was quite the alchemist. It's just annoying how so many ingredients would damage fatiue more than anything else. If it wasn't that, it was something worthless to damage, such as willpower. Like........... Really?

Those random effects that you'll need for REALLY SPECIAL POTIONS AND POISONS should be rare, whereas the Damage Health and more common things should be.... Well... More common.

you wouldnt see it at low levels. like i said only the best assassins would have access to it and unless you went way off into the wilderness and started poking your nose where it doesnt belong at level 1 in which case you deserve to die. darwin for the win! other posions would just be more common but less effective versions that everyone had. i would like to see more npcs utilize poison though. i can only recall being poisoned a couple of times in oblivion although im not even sure if that was from vanilla or from one of the many mods i used.
