Arena too slow : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

I have finally got Arena running, but to my dismay it runs VERY slow... My pc can run Morrowind and Oblivion, so surely it should be able to run Arena?
I have the internet up, aswell,but that can't be th cause, can it?

You are running it in dosbox?
Have you tried changing the number of cycles in dosbox with CTRL-F11/CTRL-F12?
