60,000 lines or 37,000 lines of dialogue, what does it all m

What is considered a "line"? All the text that appears on screen at one time, or an entire reply by a NPC. I'm thinking back to Chief Hanlon and his ten minute answers (which was awesome).

Imagine being in the recording booth.

"Is that a dragon? He doesn't look so scary to me." = 1 line

"Aaaaghh!" = 1 line

"Greetings citizen!" = 1 line

I think he Argonian and Khajiit had great voice acting in Oblivion. Don't screw them this time around like you did with the male elves, please.

I liked the female voice for beasts but it was the same voice, not sure about males but sounded like shared voice too. I'd rather they have different actors, no matter how awesome is one of the actors' voice compared to the others.

That would be great imo, so we'll have speechcraft-based dialogue lines with percentage displayed?

NO NO NO!
Do the speech checks like Fallout New Vegas

Bosmer, Dunmer and Altmer had the same male and female voice actors.
Khajiit and Argonian had the same male and female voice actors.
Nords and Orcs shared the same voice actors for only males, I think.
Imperials had their own standalone male voice actor.
Redguards had their own standalone male voice actor.
Bretons had their own standalone male voice actor.

Bosmer should have been less....annoying sounding. Dunmer should have had a more gravely voice similar to Morrowind. I hope each race has a unique voice and accent.

All I want is that chain smoker Dunmer's voice to be back.

I imagine "Greetings citizen!" being counted as 10 lines - 1 for each race.....

The 60,000 lines bit is difficult to judge without being told how lines are being counted. Number of hours suffers from a similar problem.

I hope that there are a few voice actors for each gender of each race. Every race only having 1 voice was terribly lame in Oblivion

"Which of these races, did you NOT feel had their own unique voice that suited their race in Oblivion?"

I picked Redguard. They'd be so much better speaking in jive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa1rjCZxtxo&feature=related

I dink ya' is co'rect, JIBE be puh'fect fo' Redguards. ;)

Anyway I hope pretty much every race get their own unique voice, it adds to the uniqueness that Bethesda are trying to accomplish with every race, if they look unique physically why not vocally.
