OMG! This Isnt COD

I know we all bash on CoD fans [I have too], but all we say is "OMG THIS ISNT CoD GET OUT NOOB OMG YOU DONT GET IT! IT'S NOT ABOUT K/D OT TDM NOOB OMG!!!!" Yes we say it just like that, and to be honest that's some preppy, hipster, obscure, art school Bull [censored]. we need to show people why they should get this game and play because based on sales and reviews they're not gonna come. SO I want to hear some legitimate reasons on why they should come play, because despite all the things that are [censored] about Brink I believe there's a good game inside somewhere and I'm going to give Splash Damage the benefit of the doubt and say they're responding and will fix it soon.

Reason 1: Though Brink does not include TDM there is no reason you cant play that way. I would encourage a few of my teammates to do this. They hold the enemies back while the rest of us do objectives. Everyone wins [except the enemy]. I have friends who hate Objective based games, Fine let me do it just ignore your objective wheel. You get TDM and i can pretend your doing it for teamwork and can feel morally satisfied.

Reason 2: Despite the terrible presentation Brink has an awesome story. It provides good reason for fighting for both sides [maybe not emotional weight but we're not here to complain]. Much better than current Evil PMC or evil terrorist plots.

Reason 3: Splash Damage is treating us like humans. Can you Imagine if Games-Workshop or Bethesda had complete control? Bethesda didn't apologize for how bad Fallout: New Vegas was at release let alone offer free DLC. Splash Damage is even making Steam treat us decent. It might just be me but I appreciate the fact we're being treated as people not just walking cash signs, And i believe it goes along way in helping me get over my disappointments with brink. I might never pre-order a game from Bethesda or Splah Damage again but i wont be turned away from the possibility of buying one of their games.

I agree that if you hate objective games you could just hold off enemies. Good anolysis, but let's see what others think about the rest...

I'm old-fashioned so the 3rd reason might only be me. I dont know about ya'll but it's just refreshing to be treated decently by a game company. I hope Bethesda will appologize when Skyrim is released [ I actually hope it wont be terrible, but looking at Bethesda's track record at releases they're always bad and after a few patches become really good]
