my rank and higher online. does it really work?

i was playing brink last night for about 6 hours straight on the xbox. i was using my level 20 engineer character for the security and for the first 3hrs i was playing it was great gameplay. i was playing 5 v 5 online my rank and higher and also big teams my rank and higher but some of the big teams it was maybe 6 v 6 and the rest made up of bots. but everybody seemed to know what they were doing, where to go on the maps and changing there class when an objective was needing to get completed. i think we all know that even though you might want to play as a certain character class like myself preferring to be an engineer you do have to become a soldier or an operative at some point in the game to help out completing the objectives. now as i said the first 3 hours of gameplay this is what was happening so it did feel like i was playing a level 20 game. but later on i joined other servers still playing the same my rank and higher 5 v 5 and big teams but it seemed like i was playing with people on level 1 or had just bought brink that day and were still trying to get to grips with the game. nobody would change class. i had to do all the class changing myself. also too many people were playing as the same class types like 3 medics and 2 engineers on the 5 v 5 thats that all about?

now I'll come to the main reason for this thread i was playing the container map and it was the final objective for the security to take the case from the container and take it to the gate next to the crane. i was going to do it but one of my team mates got there just ahead of me so i just ran behind him as back up and trying to slow down the enemy for him. now he got all the way down to where the crane is and I'm thinking to myself this ones in the bag and we still have 3 mins left on the clock. but as he reaches the crane and instead of going right up onto the containers and over to where the gate is he goes left where there is not even a way to get up onto the ledge i then watched him sort of fumble about trying to figure of where he was meant to be going. while all this is happening I'm shouting "turn right up onto the containers" through my mic but because the whole team didn't have there mics on there was no way for me to get the info to him. so he ended up getting shot i picked up the case but also got shot because the resistance by this time had swarmed the area and we then totally failed the mission because this one guy didn't know where to go on the map. surly a level 20 player would know his way about the maps by now and i'm pretty sure even a bot would not react like the way i just explained. so is my rank and higher working in the game? or is there level 20 players that are still not clued up on how to play brink? and why do so many players not use a mic even for the examples that i just said to help the other players out. its just things like that that spoil what is really a good game.

Choosing "my rank" or "my rank or higher" doesn't prevent lower ranking players from joining the game after you.

Meh, complaining on the forums won't help you win that game back, :brokencomputer:
