Soulcalibur V gets a gameplay trailer : Othor Games

If you haven't seen it yet, http://www.gameinformer.com/games/soulcalibur_v/b/ps3/archive/2011/06/03/get-your-first-glimpse-of-soulcalibur-v-in-action.aspx has a gameplay trailer now.

I'm pretty pumped up for this game, and I can't wait to hear more details. I've loved the SC series since the beginning. What are your thoughts? Are you going to pick it up?

Okay, Soul Edge looks more and more freaky with every iteration. Also good to see that they removed the gloss from, well, basically everything, which is where it was in the previous game. Shiny graphics in the worst sense. Other than that... It's not really gameplay, just ingame graphics. Let's hope they manage to keep that fast style they promised, and give us better solo play than just a very short story mode and a stupid tower of fight after fight. ^_^

There was plenty of gameplay :confused: and yeah, the game looks better, but surprising to me not by much.

I also agree on Soul Edge, it looks pretty amazing

I can't wait.

Edit: I would love to have something like Chronicles of the Sword come back. I loved that mode, played it over and over again.

Oh, it doesn't need much more. I refer to this as an "ingame trailer" because, well, I don't really think I'll be playing SC with a cinematic camera and only for one second of one battle and another of a new battle after.

We definitely need Chornicles of the Sword in SCV. IV not having it was a major bummer.

I'm pumped, being a big SC fan and all. I really liked IV, but the lack of a fun "campaign" mode from previous titles was a huge letdown. Here's hoping that stuff is brought back, as well as an even deeper fighter creation tool.
