Paper Mario

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 8:17 am

So since I'm a huge Mario fan and I've played too many to count, there are some Mario games that did not gain much popularity. Such as the Paper Mario series. The only person I know who has played it is my older sister, and I have a lot of friends that are Mario fans and they have never heard of it. I've played all three games and they were great. Have any of you played the Paper Mario series? Oh, and I searched "Mario" in the search tab and nothing came up. If there already is a thread, please report this one and lock it down.

I love the first two. Can't really say the same for the third one. I was just playing TTYD the other day.

The third one was the worst one, but it was fun at some times. And I've been wanting to play The Thousand Year Door for a long time now since it's my favorite Mario game, but my sister has the GameCube and she lives in another state...

I only played the original on the 64. It was actually my favorite game on that system believe it or not. Then again, I just love RPGs and Mario so much, it was the perfect fusion for me. The writing is hilarious.

I will be getting the new one coming out on the 3DS, since they said it will have the same style as the original (Since I heard many people didnt like the third one as much mainly because the gameplay style changed).

Heres a short clip of the new one on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVMW3TlCPGw.

The first was great, but Thousand Year Door is ten times better in my opinion. The third....was disappointing.

I need to hook my N64 up so I can finish replaying the first one. I think I'm in Petal Meadows right now.

If you really believe that, then I might have to buy a used copy, and borrow my cousin's Wii for while...

Same thing happened to me in the second. I've never finished it because of the Shadow Queen. She made me quit for two weeks, and I went back to it a second time but it was no use. Now my sister has the Gamecube. I do have a Wii, though. :hehe:
