I'm looking to be able to play Battlefield 3 which looks VERY VERY nice, on close to max settings. (I can skip out on anti-aliasing if necessary.)

I have a six core AMD processor clocked at 2.7 ghz (No overclock) and a Nvidia GTS 450.

He gave a decent amount of info to get a general idea of what his computer is capable of. Graphics card and processor are all we need. RAM helps, but I doubt anyone with a gaming PC is running less than 2GB these days.

Specs for BF3 haven't been announced yet, so we don't know. I'm pretty sure it will run it, but what I don't know at what settings.

It'll run it...What settigns is anyone's guess at this point. Multi-Core processor will definitely be used for this game though, so you're pretty good there.

Don't be so bitter bro. The start menu is the only way the average computer user can access their computer's programs/function easily. It's a great feature that is simple to use but not too dumbed down. Sure it has it has flaws, but without it 90% of windows users would be stuck at their desktop.

I don't see why you would need that info to tell me if I could expect to run Battlefield 3. All you really need to know is my CPU and GFX Card and maybe RAM. (6GB)

And hell. It's that stupid startup bar thats making life harder for me at my job. Now I just get idiots who lit their computers on fire someway or another. It used to be I got people coming in saying they needed help with simple stuff.

Odd number for RAM, however you will be able to run BF3 on high graphics without AA. It's not going to be a next gen game or anything, nor is it using sort of new technology or software that will break computers.

Perhaps I was misinterpreted....I mean BF3 is not some console port of a game. It's only on PC.

Battlefield 3 is being primarily developed for the PC, but it will still be released for consoles.

The devs said that the game should run fine on computers who can run BF:BC2, mainly because they can optimise the engine through DX11 much better. And since this machine should handle BC2 really well, you should fine.
