So, I got Red Dead Redemption from one of the local Gamestops, today. It's an interesting game and I like it, but to my disappointment, the game case is broken in that whatever the thing at the center of a game case that keeps a disk held in place was broken (One of the three pieces making up whatever this thing is that I don't know the name of was just missing and another one was completely detached.). My disk was not held in place and must have bouncing around the case the whole time I had it in my possession. The game disk is perfectly fine, but it doesn't have a functional case. I still have my receipt and bag the game the came in and I don't want to return it, but if I brought the game, the case, and the receipt back to Gamestop, would they replace the case? I did not mistreat the case in any way, so I know it was broken when I bought it, but I wonder what they would think about it.
On another note, while it was installing (along with a detected online update which was probably a patch), my PS3 informed me of a problem found in my game data and reinstalled the game, although I don't even recall it installing it before that point. Would that have just been the patch fixing any known problems and requiring a "re"-installation or could there be something actually wrong with my disk and/or the data on it?
Thanks.
