Just thought it might be useful you know, to know when the apocalypse is coming?

I couldn't really think of any distinct signals that say THE END IS NIGH in an Alduin/Auriel way in Oblivion or past TES.
Do you think these have already occured or will appear in Skyrim?

Also, I tried being clever and came up with interpreting "bell" by its latin root "bellum" for war, thinking they might have been significant wars, but I think I'm stretching too far.
