I'm doing a research essay that discusses resistance during one of the World Wars. For a section of it, I am defining resistance and dicussing what constitutes resistance. For this section I want to include public views about what people believe resistance is, so that I can make a brief generalisation.

If you want to just answer the poll and be done with it, that is great, but also feel free to post any thoughts you have on exactly what constitutes resistance in the thread, absolutely all help you can give is hugely appreciated! I don't want definitions that you have looked up, as I know pretty much every definition that is available. What I really want is how you, personally, define resistance, what you believe counts as an act of resistance and what you think it needs to involve.

PLEASE do not discuss any aspects of war, or any resistance movements in this thread. If it starts getting political or heated, I will request a lock immediately OR repost posts. I have checked this topic with Rohugh, he has said it is fine as long as it stays reasonable. If you want to discuss other resistance movements, or anything that would be considered political, feel free to PM me, comment me, or post about it over in the BGSFans forum (http://bgsfans.com/forums/), where such discussion is allowed.
