When dragons bite

*bite. I hate that I can't fix thread titles.

So I'm sure most of you have seen some footage of a dragon taking a nice big chomp out of some forester or guard npc. To me, it pretty much seemed like that attack was the end all attack for that poor guard. Two thoughts come to mind:

1. That's a killshot. So since dragons are regular creatures, can we expect that all mobs and creatures have finishing moves like the player?

2. That was just one of the attacks that a dragon can use. In this case, it could be used against the player. I certainly hope so, anyway.

What do you guys think? Could the PC survive that? Should they? Do you think monsters have finishing moves?

That was pretty gruesome lol.

Perhaps it can be used when the player is at low health?

I would think it's some kind of finishing move, or just a normal attack.

1. I wouldn't assume all creatures have deathblows. They have stated that they put tons of work into dragons so I'll assume they are going to much more complex than other creatures. Though I'm just speculating.

2. I hope so too.

Yeah, I certainly hope that dragons can perform finishing moves on my player like that... However, I DO hope that they're not a cheap insta-kill move cause that would be pretty annoying... I'd only like to see it activated when I'm about to die anyways.

I think it would be sweet to have a wolf jump at me and get me by the throat. As a finisher of course. not a InstaGib sorta thing.

if monsters have finishers that would the dragons finisher. and imagine the force going through those massive jaws there is no surviving that your either nearly bitten in half or in two pieces no odds of survival especially if viciously thrashed around like that and thrown about 30 feet in the air only to fall on rocky terrain. over all that was the second most shocking moment in the trailer...the first is what happened to that poor giant.
