SAVE me I'm scared

Post » Sat Jun 11, 2011 6:57 am

Every time I go to save my character I cross my fingers and make deals with god. The reason for this is I'm afraid of the save system they've use in fo3 and fonv. Am I alone or dose someone agree with me?

Are you speaking of save corruption? Though this happens from time to time, I experienced it more with Fallout 3. Hopefully the Creation engine won't have easily corruptible saves and the quicksave and autosave functions will have no chance of corrupting your saves.

I get the impression that that isn't what your talking about, but I didn't have it happen to me at all in FO3 and only once in NV, so it hasn't been a huge deal.
It does stay in the back of my head though when I go through deleting a bunch of saves..

No. I'm talking about the system in general. It's just weird to me that there would be one menu with all of your saves for all of your characters. I would prefer it to be more like mass effect where it has a menu of characters and a sub-menu for each character with all it's saves. That way there would be no possibility of you accidentally saving over a character you didnt want to.

Oh, I see. You might want to be a bit more specific in the original post. But yeah, I agree, it would be pretty useful. Though I have never ran into problems with overwriting, because I play in 3rd person and can see which character it is when I save and it also says their name.

I'm not going to lie, I've overwritten quite a few of my saves and been extremly po'd. So yeah, I'd like a better system, if only for convenience.

Ha same here and it always ends up being my long time character. That I spent hours and hours on, then I end up replacing it with my new half an hour game time character.

Mass Effect save system would be very nice. Or Dragon age (Same thing)
