Fallout MMO Restricted?

Post » Sat Jun 11, 2011 9:16 am

Just read a post from a forum moderator regarding what I think will eventually (and hopefully) be the Fallout MMO.

I know there is ongoing litigation, but he mentioned this is a restricted topic.

Does this mean we're not allowed to discuss what we'd like out of a potential Fallout MMO at all?

Because if I ever make a return to MMO's, the Fallout MMO would be it for me. Fallout is my favorite franchise, and my favorite universe ever since the beginning. In my high school years I played Fallout 2 more than any other game.

And the thought of a Fallout MMO just makes me ridiculous excited. I wouldn't ever need another RPG, ever. Until Fallout the MMO part 2 of course =)

So, are we allowed to discuss this? If not, i'm sorry for posting this (and i'm sure it will be locked).

If we are, then discuss :fallout:

Yes, it means we can't talk about that Game/MMO or the legal stuff.

You can talk Fallout Multiplayer but there is already an official thread. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1112031-fallout-multiplayer-discussion-thread/

Yeah I found that thread, I just wanted word from a moderator if we weren't allowed to discuss the Interplay garbage and the Fallout MMO, or just the Interplay garbage.

And believe it or not to the other poster, a Fallout MMO is in the works. Well kind of, its what the legal battle is over. The rights to develop the Fallout MMO, and swim in cash for life.

That's correct.

Interplay's MMO is a restricted topic at the moment as it's at the center of ongoing litigation.

That makes me a sad panda. Hopefully this litigation will end soon and we can start talking about its potential, which is mind blowing when you think about it. So much lore, so much story, and what an amazing world.

It will be amazing, and i'll be supporting it every step of the way.

I wish we could all get along and both developers could put their thoughts into the project. But I understand nobody wants to share that prize. As popular as Fallout already is, the revenue generated from it could actually hold its own against WoW. Potentially that is.

I loved Warcraft, but i'm a much bigger fan of the Fallout universe. I'm even molding my Fallout Shelter out back (a real fallout shelter) into a Fallout theme :hubbahubba:

You may disscuss multiplayer in the above linked thread.

You may not discuss the rest of your post. :)
