So after not playing for a long time I've come back to Oblivion in preparation for the new Skyrim.

Anyway, in this quest after I reach the stage where I try to find Guilbert Jemane in Cheydinhall he is not there. The quest marker points to the Imperial Prisons/Sewers where I began. This happens in all playthroughs with different characters. This has not happened before in the same computer with the same mod setup.

So I try the console and move to him and sure enough it lands me straight to the sewers area where the emperor was killed. What's happening here? Do NPCS go to jail? How can I teleport him out of this place so I can proceed with the quest. I need to complete this since I really want the Escutcheon.

Have any of you experienced this glitch?

This sounds strange. Neither of them should be in prison or in the sewers, I have no idea how one of them ended up there :shrug:

Btw, NPC:s are not supposed to be imprisoned, unless it′s part of a quest.

Never happened to me. Never heard of it.

Sounds like something a bad mod might do. If it's not mods I don't see how that could happen.
