Yes, but only if they affect things in game. EG: If I make a super mutant or ghoul, I dont want human supremacists making an excuse for me just because I'm the player.

Sure, but it's at character creation in the beginning of the game, nothing quest related and no turning back. Different races comes with pros and cons of course, like set race traits. Some quests will be closed for a ghoul, for example, but new ones will open up that are closed for human characters.

I think its only worth having races as playable if it strongly affects how the game is played.

Playing as an SM would, obviously, be very different to playing human. All the dialogue would be differnt, different quests etc. Although its a nice idea, i think it would be more trouble than its worth. After all, Fallout is about humanity's struggle, i dont much care about the impurities :P

I'm not terribly against the feature if it actually means something more (much more) than just the looks and a couple of statistical changes, but in general I don't think it'd be a good idea. The way I figure, in Fallout, these other "races" are the oddities of the aftermath with which humanity clashes one way or the other, and I'd rather they were treated as such.

And this is the problem - as stuff gets locked out for different races you need more and more content that some players aren't going to see; meaning you have to make more game to keep the same play length (increasing costs) or accept a shorter game time.

Same thing if you side with Caesar's Legion, you ain't gonna see no NCR stuff.

Indeed that is true, a certain level of fragmentation is good; a certain level of fragmentation where the MQ is concerned is almost required; but the more and more you do, the more and more work you need to do, and the less you get out of that work gamewise

I think it would be cool. I would definitely try a game as a mutant if the option was available.

I think so yes.

But only if it's done by the lore, a super mutant should be more powerful in combat than a human.
I'd rather they stick to human and ghoul first and maybe try to work in trogs too.

Well, maybe somewhere in the map area, there would be a some research facility where would be some fav(or what ever) pools that would change your character into super mutant. Ofcourse you would lose your mind in that, and become super aggressive, but when its optional and for lulz then yes. Like if you would want to start to terrorize cities, then it would be more awesome, if you could do that while being a super mutant.

Or/and maybe dlc;s that would focuse on solely on super mutants perspective, so you would gain quests from some supermutant boss, and those quests would be more "aggressive" feeling, that they would mainly be like a terrorising cities, or kidnapping people for making them super mutants too, or something like that.

No, there is no more FEV.
West Tek is empty.
Mariposa blown up.
V87 probably blown up by Lyons Brotherhood.
And it's possible that Big Empty has some but that should be it.
No more random FEV.
