I was wondering if anyone here could give me a link to some lore concerning battlemages. I just recently became very interested about them and would love to learn more about them.

That said, searching for battlemage doesn't really give anything particularly useful. The 1st edition of the Pocket Guide to the Empire mentions that the during the time of the 1st empire the Nibeneans created battlemages a an elite support troops for their armies in their wars with the Ayelieds. And then you might want to read up on the Battlespire.
