Wow Crytek Are A Bunch Of Amateurs

I love the game when it works but WTF, fix the grain glitch and the sound already (Lag can still be improved as well). It should NEVER take this long to patch day 1 problems.

Seriously, what is going on over there?

Seriously, what is going on over there?

I wonder the same thing. You and I are in the same boat.

I was reading a twitter post by a Crytek programmer earlier where he was dissing the engine MW3 uses and then another Crytek dev wrote that they should license Cryengine 3 and call the next COD CryofdutyMW4. I found that to be hilarious. Why would Infinity Ward want to poison their flawless engine with Cryengine 3? The engine that doesn't work right on 360. What a joke. Crytek are amateurs.

When you buy games, they all should say buy at your own risk. I feel sorry for Cry-Adam because of E3 this week he is probably getting the broad shoulder. I love the game, but I am feeling if it does not give them momentum why waste anymore time for a small community. Remember Crytek, that is where COD and Halo started. Making games and then moving on to the next one, you will never perfect your craft in this game. You have a small window but it will be gone before BF3 hits in October. Show us that you can co-exist with more popular titles coming in the fall.

Totally agree.

It's ironic that a game some fools claimed was the best looking on the console has a glitch that makes it look so bad that I can't even bring myself to finish the SP because it looks so bad (like a low quality streamed video bad).

Even worse that months after release the game looks just as bad.

Needless to say I'm no longer excited for subsequent Crytek games, it's apparent that these guys don't really know what they're doing, either that or they just don't care.

Well if the latter, they should know that sales dropped so quickly because this game has the worst word of mouth but that's what you get when you release an unfinished game and don't fix it promptly.

I need to correct my statement. It was Cry-Sam and CryJR who made the comments about MW3 on twitter. Not Cry-Tom.

My problem is that they talk about other games. Look at JD2020 and Vahn. Their discussions are always about Black Ops. They know how to stay on topic even after 7 months after release. If Crytek employees were doing the same thing, this game would be different. It is truly sad that the ego of Cry Engine grown so wide, but it is still not up to par with the Frostbite Engine. If it was, our problems would be fixed right now.

Frostbite Engine is amazing and I believe that BF3 is gonna blow doors wide open (PC & Console)

Even Epic's Unreal engine. I am an old school Unreal Tournament fan. Epic has made so much progress as far as engine development goes. I am not a gears fan at all really. I believe that it doesn't showcase the power of that engine to the fullest of its capability.

I think that with the announcement of CryEngine being used for that military VR combat simulator has made them not really care as much for little ol' C2. Well combine that with E3 and everything else I believe we are left to our own devices.

LMFAO!

I love this game, it is one of the best I feel I have ever played, but Crytek have a hell of a lot to learn before they can be even mentioned in the same breath as IW, hell even Treyarch.

Can you imagine MW3 with the stuttery, unoptimised, buggy mess that is Cry Engine 3. Code that got so far out of the control of the developers it takes 3 months to fix bugs because that is how long it takes to trace the issues. I shudder to think.

Crytek are lucky to be a million selling dev, I suspect with their next game it will be MUCH less.

Unless they improve the quality of their products, and their community engagement, and no offence to Adam but we are clearly always dealing with the monkey and not the organ grinder, they could go the way of Bizarre Creations and many other devs. Nearly 2 weeks since they promised patch notes, wtf?

A crappy looking Kinect game and an engine which is never going to compete with unreal engine, source, and frost bite is not going to propel these guys to stardom any time soon.

Shame really.

Things like this just goes to show how out of touch and sorrowful shape their in.

they can't communicate with their community, they don't know their own engine well enough to fix anything and their product feels like something you bought out of the back of someone's car trunk.

The COD team has the money, they need to buy the Cryengine long enough to fix it for them and send it back.

I miss sandbox 2... its just that sometimes it doesn't work right for a long time... do you think we would get it if we own the console version? I wanna compare both nanosuit sprint modes to see the distance and speed...

I don't have any issues with the look of the game. Not even the so called grain glitch and the game runs great on 360 from my experiences. And I haven't seen the frostbite engine look as good as this game. Frostbite 2 looks amazing on PC, so until I see it look better than CE3 on console I agree with most people that say its the best looking game on console. But that's my opinion

Balls of Duty is a crappy ass game... They've been using the same damn Engine since Call of Duty 2. Seriously, and you think that Crytek need to do something? Pfft... Don't make me laugh... At least Crytek went out of their way to develope and import their OWN material onto a system which hasn't used it before. Sure, it has issues... Every game does, it's not a surprise really... The Xbox being as OLD AS IT IS shouldn't be using engines like this. But hey, you continue to defend and play your Balls of Duty: Modern Ballhair and I will continue to enjoy my Crysis 2.

lmao, that post has made my day. I agree completely with you, there is no way I will buy any Call of Duty until they've upgraded the engine and the graphics to be better. Crysis 2 is incomparable to Call of Duty, it is that much better in my opinion.
