Tired of conservative heroes

I am tired of playing heroes in the Elder Scrolls that always try to keep the status quo. Oh no Oblivion is seeping in, better get it out, Oh no Jyggilag is trying to get free, better kill him. Oh no Blight is taking over people's minds better cure it. One thing I liked about Fall Out 3 was that you were changing the world. Things didn't stay the same because of you they got better, or worse. Its missing from a lot of games I think, but Elder Scrolls could really benefit from it. I'd like to see 2 or three big quests and preferably a main quest where you are actively changing the world, not just resetting it. I was thinking it might be cool to have a "Princess Mononoke" thing where you can kill some ancient spirit God(or save if you want to be boring), which would have consequences for the surrounding areas. In Fallout you could nuke whole towns off the map. I would just like an Elder Scrolls equivalent. They could even do something with vampirism where you could turn large populations into vampires or zombie hordes to terrorize villages and cities. You could also do nice things but "bad" stuff is just easier to think of. Which takes me right into how moral dilemma is usually so absent, not everything is "evil" or "good" sometimes we just do our best with what we are given. What do you guys think? Would you like some quests or future Elder Scrolls where you are the one changing things and/or some moral dilemma?

Don't worry, my heroes all fight for women's suffrage and body autonomy. Its a pro-choice Bosmer for me.

Considering the Dragons are pretty much here to stay, killing Aldun the world eater isn't maintaining the status quo since the dragons are now back and wont be going away. the world has changed forever.

Also Fo3 didn't have much change unless you count several water caravans a BIG difference.

Things didn't change in Oblivion? What about killing off a few villages? Or helping rebuild one after clearing the land of Goblins? Making a whole settlement of Khajiit go insane?

In the grand scheme of things, sure, they might not be big changes. But the game world kept tabs on your actions, they even spoke about it, and wrote about it. Plus NPC's treated you differently depending on your choices.

One thing I did not like about Fallout 3 is that every choice I made i felt like I had to think about my karma... instead of just choosing organically how my character I'm RP-ing would go about it.
