I have these strange horizontal lines on the left side of the screen while playing Oblivion.... Not sure why? Its only there while playing oblivion, all other games are fine including fallout 3, all movies are fine and tv so what do you think is the problem? can it be a defective game disk?

I'm on PS3 too, this does not sound familiar. Are you able to still play your game normally? Except for the lines? Or does the entire game sort of freeze up?

I've encountered a glitch where the entire game "sort of freezes" and there will be these huge vertical lines showing up instead. My character is usually still on-screen, and you can see scenery in the distance. I won't be able to move my character at all (except for left and right).

I usually just mess wthi all the buttons. Jump, attack, activate, etc. Eventually the game un-crashes itself. :rolleyes: If this doesn't work, I can usually load up a previous game save, hoping that I didn't make this save hours ago.

I am able to play the game normally without freezing...I didnt notice these lines on my other tv at all only on this new xbr tv........its just strange.....
