Lol, nice find.

Anyway, I think a dev said that what we saw was mainly the same as seen before, but also a few new parts.

concerning the demo the fact is: we dont have an official statement regarding the "developement age" of the demo. it is true that in the utah demo arvel gets killed by a bow but just because at e3 they backstabbed him doesnt mean that the whole demo was newly recorded. we dont know.

also regarding the comments about the xbox. it is not true that the "grass tundra problem" is because of the xbox. just take a look at a red dead redemption gameplay video. its an open world game like skyrim. just look at this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19N75TL1dHU) rdr gameplay, especially the scene where he is riding through the "desert" or stand on the mountain and looks down on a huge valley. it looks really good. i guess what they did is just put a 2d raw grass texture in which from a distance looks like normal grass.

my point is. if the draw distance of the grass looks bad in the final product its not because of the xbox or ps3 being too old. its because they didnt manage to use their engine as well as they should have. at least thats my opinion

Agreed. Although I'm not defending the Xbox or "consolization" of favourite PC franchises. They should have just scrapped the grass or chosen a different part of Tamriel, that has no grass, until they could manage it properly. It just looks bad.

Well, you can't have the grass rendered all the way to the horizon, unless you want your Frame rate to come to a screeching halt. With that in mind, is there another method for them to make the grass gradually blend into the distance more realistically, and atmospherically like the mountains without ruining ones frame rate? Maybe add 2D grass models, like they do with the trees, then maybe lower Poly grass in-between, along with some kind of hazy effect? I'm sure they've tried out different stuff, and they obviously know the Game a lot more than we do, and know what works to provide a smoother gaming experience.

i agree! thats exactly what red dead did. just put in 2d models for the far distances. you cant tell that it is 2d anyway if its that far away.
