Calling it now.

IGN will be the first on the spot with their Skyrim review giving it a 6.5 or a 7 at most. Probably nitpicking on the fact they actually have to explore a game world that doesn't follow a linear storyline with a multiplayer option, More then likely throwing in their classic 'It just doesn't measure up to COD' in whatever aspect they think they actually know something about. Meanwhile in the following hours/days, Every other reviewer will be giving the game 9's or 4.5 stars or higher. Once again, Making IGN look like the [censored] narcissistic 'We hate anything without guns' reviewers they are. I'm calling it now.

Not sure if this post belongs here, But I just had to rant about it. I've watched a few of their reviews the past few months and they are completely uneducated. I then came to realize they will probably review skyrim and it will be a complete [censored] storm.

Since when does IGN do that? They certainly didn't do those things with previous Bethesda games and I don't know what these newer games being reviewed like that are.

Aren't they the same who produced this thing:
Oblivion 9.3 "Amazing"?
It didn't have multiplayer either, what happened meanwhile?

It's very rare to see them post a review of a game that doesn't have shooter elements and give them higher then 8.5, Or, Games with shooter elements that don't stack up to COD or Halo.

Dragon Age 2: 8.5
Red Faction: Armageddon: 7.0
Gran Torismo 5: 8.5
Dead Rising 2: 8.0
AC: Brotherhood: 8.0
Brink: 6.0

My opinions: Dragon age is good at 8.5, Red Faction deserves 8.5, Gran Torismo 5 deserves 9.5, Dead Rising 8.5, AC Brotherhood 9.0 and Brink 8.0.

Looking at the video review for brink their main reasons for the rating was texture popping and other stuff, When the Devs announced a patch on RELEASE DAY that they were fixing it. IGN based their review on pre-release bugs, Not to mention they were playing a heavily multi-player based game in single player with bots and said it wasn't as good as advertised. It was advertised for exciting Co-Op and mission versus. Also he mentions something about COD but I can't remember what off the top of my head.

Those are the kind of people that work for IGN. Idiots.
