Mod to get NPCs "involved" in fights?

Is there a mod that causes nearby NPCs and/or creatures to "get involved" if a fight occurs nearby to them? What I mean is, if you attack or are attacked by something when nearby NPCs/creatures that have not been hit by an attack, they just stand there as if nothing has changed (unless YOU are the attacker and its a guard and you committed a crime... the guard will let you die if you are being attacked though...). Is there a mod that makes it so nearby actors will join in or flee from combat between other actors when appropriate instead of just standing there?

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6006 will have have guards help you when you are fighting other npc's if your not a criminal. I don't believe there's anything out there that would make all npc's help you though. But http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6639 causes non-combatant npc's to flee away from you, so you won't end up accidentally hitting them. Makes more sense than every npc helping anyway I guess.

That sounds really promising. Does anyone have any idea if it would work with the guards from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27765?

Ah, I just noticed this from it's change log "Added compatibility with NazoX9's Guard Mod" Awesome :foodndrink:

In a similar vein, are there any mods that add guards to the roads like in Oblivion? It'd be nice to see some friendly faces every once and a while, and especially if you could combine it with this mod, get some help against the constant monster attacks.

It would be nice if AI was improved so that you couldn't lure enemies away from their group with ranged attacks. As it stands, an NPC will ignore a friend getting shot with an arrow so long as that NPC cannot see the player. Really immersion-breaking.

If fliggerty is still working on his combat mod, I think it will solve your problem MrTea... However, based on the complexity of the mod I doubt it's release will be any time soon.

Pretty much this. I have no idea if he's still working on the mod. But if he is I'm really looking forward to seeing it finished some day.
