Hello Everybody,

First of all, forgive my english, it's not my mother language. Hope somebody could help me and others with the same problem; ok here I go:


I'm playing the DLC Broken Steel and was having the same freezing glitch that a lot of FO3 players had. Reading around I found that deleting the game data (not the save data) and reinstalling it, it should work.

I did that and when tryed to replay from my last save data, the game starts in the last mission (project purity!!!).....I went to everywhere, like Cittatel and talked to Lyons the Elder and he keeps saying to me to go to Jeffersons mem and stuff.....Tryed to go ther and the building is very weird....ther's no door and I can go trough the walls!!!!

I got Fawkes with me too....but when I try to talk to him, in the dialog window, ther's that option when you are in the Jefferson memmorial and can ask him to go in the purif. turn on the thing.....

Well....that's it guys.....Dont know what to do. Hope anyone could have any solution??? Its a very good game and would like to finish this DLC before start the New Vegas...

I had heard this as well and it made the game crash when i tried to do anything on all my save games. Making a new game to where you leave the vault and it shows the DLC load made it work again. For me anyway. Hope this helps.

I'll try that for sure! But....ther's a thing that bothers me: This DLC in particular you're supose to FINISH the game and then the DLC is activated....I wonder if I have to play ALLLLLL the main story again??? oh no, if so thist is bad ((

I'm pretty sure Broken Steel loads when you leave the vault, and it raises your level cap.

I hope it works for you, I was so angry and scared, I had done everything in Fallout 3, completed every quest, found most of the unique guns, and had quite a collection of things including 310k bottle caps. A total of 310 hours on that save, but i managed to fix it thank god! lol.

If it doesn't work and you have to make a new game, think of it as a way to better your character. I recently made a new game to get a better character, all 10 in S.P.E.C.I.A.L and 100 in each skill. I also more wisely chose my perks, for better defence and offence. 85 DR and 85 Rad Resistance with Winterized T-51B Power Armor now.
