Why would we be dreaming of Titus Mede's ascension?

just for a mission to recap what has taken place in the past 200 years. Totally forgot we are in skyrim though not cyrodill so that doesn't make sense. But I don't want some dream or flashback quests where we see some of the history actually happening

I want to know how my Player from oblivion will fit in as the new mad god.How are they guna work that?

I remember someone posing a very interesting work around for that problem a few months ago. Basically, when you took up the role of Mad God and took up the mantle, you literally became Sheogorath. Not just in the sense of inheriting his power, but also his personality and quirks as well. I wish I could find the exact topic that post was in, but they made a pretty good case for why that happened. Not to mention it how it also saves Bethesda the potential headache of trying to account for all the different personalities and voices that the Champion of Cyrodiil might have had. (Note: I'm doing a horrible job summarizing it, I know.)

I never even considered that we will have 200 years of lore to catch up on.

The Imperial Library, or UESP should have all you need to catch up.

I spent a good amount of time reading the WHOLE entire lore this evening, was very enjoyable.

Can't wait to see what happens next.

Almost makes me want a RTS where you control the armies of one of the countries..
