Maybe this weapon isn't overpowered at all and it's just perfectly balanced like the rest of the game. Here's my question though, does it feel more effective than the SCAR and Feline to you? or, do you like this new weapon? loving it? When I tried this weapon in game it made my SCARAB feel like a peashooter, and it's maybe 20% slower than the SCAR at the most.

I still get owned with the Feline and Scar vs. this weapon. IMO, I feel like it is fine with one exception: the Grendel. The FY71 has the same damage and mobility as the Grendel with the only difference being the rate of fire. Sort of renders Grendel single shot useless, unless someone can tell me otherwise. (Assuming you don't theoretically fire at the same time with perfect aim, then the Grendel single shot wins)

Actually, I usually do. 6 or 7 when they are in armor mode. A single burst shot will kill a person medium range with no armor.

See the problem is, crytek doesn't know anything about good weapon balance. The guns all have a fine kill rate (if you dont mind dying in .5) but the fact is each weapon has way to many bullets save for a handful. I covered most of the weapons in this:

Everything needs less bullets, because spraying is too easy. The new gun should probally have a clip of 20 or less since it drops people so easily and the max bullets should be around 60. People have way to many bullets, and far to much ammo in this game to even bother grabbing side pack.

Re balance your game Crytek, find smart professional playtestors who know how to make a game unique. Or unhinge your server to allow owners to adjust it themselves.

the FY obviously is overpowered. any one who says it's not are just enjoying using an op weapons to get high kills.
it is almost impossible to beat a person with an fy no matter what weapon you use, even when you started shooting first. i've only ever kill guys with fy when i sneak up on them and unleash from the back. even then, they turn around and manage to make me almost dead. that's how overpowered that gun is.

I bought the 2nd DLC because it is more worth the money than the first one (WHICH I DIDN't BUY), **** hell every company releases DLC and as far as I am concerned Crytek are doing a good job fixing the game and it's pretty much fixed and we have Dx11 comign and sandbox, they are doing a lot of work so why not support them? Seriously? Call of Duty DLC is way more expensive.

I think the evil part is they knew people would carry on about the gun, which would encourage people to download the DLC, then balance the gun later once there were enough sales.

I think they will either drop the damage to 35 or lower the accuracy a bit more.


I think they will ignore people that say, 'I don't buy any dlc but fix the gun', they will probably listen to people that buy dlc, won't buy future dlc without rebalance.


The worst customer support standard was set by a certain Chinese company, they wouldn't give you customer service unless you spent 300 dollars a month on their game lol or charged that much for customer service.

Truth, use the gun all the time, also depends on the range of your target, because there is bullet damage drop off over range. It also has a certain degree of armor penetration which I believe the FY does not have.

i played wall street today and killed a guy who had fy71. I picked it up and used it and got 2 kills with fy71 , it was an awesome gun. But i aint gonna buy the new maps pack

Im with hedgehog, paying money for an advantage over other players is paramount to hacking (which incidentally some people pay for). I'd buy the dlc if it didnt have extra weapons in it, this is just the worst possible form of dlc available. Might as well sell wallhacks ea, you **** bastards.

And the SCAR isnt the best weapon anymore, given the spread on the scar (ie it has some), and the spread on the fy (sat there and shot at a wall 50m away, not a single dot of deviation), the fy wins at ranges over 10m, and below that is likely to win anyway as it does pack 25% more damage at least. Judging from kills with it i think it does a tad over 40.

Paying for maps, skins, hats and general cosmetic changes (like the old nanosuit voice), fine with that, but again, anything that disrupts the balance between someone who has the stock game (which isn't cheap), and someone who handed over more money (again not a pifling amount) is just not on. Not to mention it kills any chance a game has of reaching the esports community, or any longevity it might have.

Pretty much proof of EA's viewpoint of crysis2, a quick cash grab that they're milking while crysis3 is in the pipe. Soulless **** suits.

And I loved this game. Loved fantastic shooter. Loved running with stealth, shooting, getting tactic of how to do things, jumping. Just liked fantastic shooter, and just wanna it. But now...now I don't know what to say. fy71 is too futuristic and fantastic weapon. How someone said in movie: "Be afraid of your wishes, they can come true..."

Lol we played the DLC maps for hours last night and by the end of it everyone was either using a sniper, shotgun or feline. No new weapon, so yeh it's hardly a favourite with the people who bought the DLC, you guys are just jealous.

All the weapons need less bullet even the shotguns, the only exception is the Grendel. Less spray, More aim, More Skill, MORE FUN!
