Forum Newcomers - Please Read.

Previous Troll thread has proved its point exactly:

https://secure.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=31314

Please, newcomers, note the people in the above thread who add nothing to the community but in fact contribute to the declining population of the Crysis 2 forum community whilst on their delusional power-trip, being whored under the name of consumer rights.

Feel free to ignore these people entirely.

There are plenty of people who truly enjoy playing this game (aware of the current flaws) without the need to rage upon the developer, and people who want to refresh this community and nurture it.

It was a thread to draw out the complainers/hypocrites on here, but it contained some important and valid points that they will all continue to ignore:

1. Bug Fixes can take time, sometimes A LOT of it.

2. Constant negative attitudes have negative connotations on a community.
If there is a valid complaint, make it. If you have made your point and the developer has shown you in some form that they have acknowledged this, move on and hope that it is resolved swiftly.

3. If you decide that this game isn't for you any longer (for whatever reason) leave peacefully. No-one appreciates someone spewing foul mouthed nonsense that would make a 5-year olds tantrum look good.

Not expressed in the troll thread but important to note here:

4. It's only a game.
You will probably invest a tangible amount of time into it, but if something goes wrong remember that it isn't life changing, go back to point 2 and get on with your life.

So... you're welcoming newcomers by trolling to draw out other trolls? I see you used the word hypocrite in your post... Also, most of those "complainers" are the community. I wouldn't think anyone has quit this game because the forums are negative. I'd recommend the game to anyone now that it's $30.

Just to make a point on your #2 section, that's one of the larger issues a lot of these "5 year old tantrum throwers" have. Crytek vaguely acknowledges major bug problems, and then we hear nothing about it close to a month later. Simple updates on issues would stifle a lot of the flames on this forum. It's more than likely not Cry-Adam's fault either. Communication between him and the team must be piss poor...

Your #1 point is obvious, but how much time is too much time? That's fairly objective from person to person... Personally the grain glitch I'm completely understanding that it could take months, but something as simple as the Reboot bug, unlocks not being awarded, seeing "new weapons" every time I log in, should have been fixed months ago. Yes, these are minor, non-game breaking bugs, but irritating regardless. Not to mention that a lot of these minor issues have been supposedly fixed multiple times...

#4 is almost a pointless topic... I've not noticed anyone on this forum with suicidal tendencies because their screen is grainy, but if you feel wiser by stating this, to each his own.

Sorry, what I meant was that they leave the forums/community, not necessarily the game. Thanks for pointing out my mistake, I'll ammend it.

Probably due to different points of view, but I wouldn't consider these people trolls, so I disagree on the opinion that I am being hypocritical, especially when I want the end result to be beneficiary to other forum users.

The rest of your post
The points there are mainly there to hammer it home, since most seem to disregard things unless explicitly noted. People persevere despite what we know to be extremely obvious.

I agree with the OP. A vocal and disgruntled handfull of people do not make up the collective midset of the Crytek playerbase. There are THOUSANDS of players out there very happy with the title and playing with little or no issues at all. Some peoples ego's just cant handle the fact that they are a no-one and developers couldnt give a rats ass what an individual thinks when it comes to their work. And no matter how vocal they get, they still are a no-one with little support in their views.

Count me as one of those customers who is happy with the product. And I dont give a damn what other people think of the game, because it doesn't matter to me in the slightest.

A lil bit off both... it might prevent some from trolling but...
