My gold coin piles and letters of credit in F6 are not adding up to the total gold I have in F5.

I put all my gold, letters of credit and every single piece of inventory I have in the wagon, and I'm still at 62 encumbrance. Apparently I'm carrying some sort of "hidden" gold that cannot be seen? What's the difference between the gold reported in F5 and the gold coin piles and letters of credit you are carrying? There's a huge discrepancy in my case:

- F5 says I have 31103 gold pieces

- in F6 it says I can drop 24840 gold pieces

- in wagon I have 690 in gold coin piles

-in wagon I have 6263 in letters of credit

Where is all that other gold coming from? Over 24000 worth is encumbering me without me being able to see it in inventory, in any form.

I'll go to a bank and deposit it but I'd like to know how the game figures out how much gold you actually have vs how much you have in F6 inventory.

EDIT: Curiously, I can deposit 24835 in the bank, leaving me with 6263 being carried. When I try to deposit any more, it says I do not have enough gold. EDIT#2: I just removed all gold and letters of credit from wagon, and was able to deposit up to 25525, leaving me with 6263 again...oh I'm just noticing the "Letters Of Credit" deposit option.

I is confuzzled, but now only about how it figures out your total.

Your total gold reported in stores and on F5 should = gold pieces + value of all letters of credit.
You can find how many pieces you are carrying by going to F6 and clicking "Drop Gold" (which you cannot pick back up again, so don't actually go through with it!)

Having gold piece piles in your inventory or wagon, however, is liable to cause problems. How did you even get them there? Cash normally isn't stored like that.

At a bank, it's always easiest to deposit all your letters first. Then what remains in your inventory is cash.
