Companions, what about them?

Hi,

we have seen lots of new features recently but nothing has been said about companions. I personally think they are very important for the gameplay. The possibility to make your own squads (Companion share was essential for my Oblivion) and give them orders, and not the foolish wheel that we′ve seen in Fallout NV, I mean a real command system.

Do you consider this important?

Stuff has been said, although it wasn't really that positive imho.
If you find Luke Skyrimmer's signature, he has a youtube channel and one of his videos is an interview with Todd Howard.
Todd says something along the lines of "we're trying to have a lot more companions at the cost of some of their depth, but we'll still have some companions that have depth." Basically they're aiming for a lot of companions but only a few will have their own stories etc. So I'm guessing that the others will be hired goons, mercenaries, and the like.

I loved the companion system in Fallout New Vegas so if the ones who are in depth are better than those, I'll be happy.
