Crashes, Freezes, Squares all over the screen

Hello there,

I'm experiencing these rather... frustrating problems with Fallout 3 GOTY Edition:

Every single day, a couple of times the game just crashes givin' me a message that Fallout 3 has stopped working or a something similiar. There was even this one time, when my PC completely froze and had no other choice but to turn it off with the POWER button.

Within a week... I guess, I've also experienced those weird little squares all over my screen when ingame! Squares would appear just like that... turning off the game would not help, yes the squares would disappear when on desktop, but they would come back if I tried to play Fallout 3 or any other game actually so the only solution to it is restarting my PC.

Well and the most frustrating thing out of all, is that I've just bought my new graphics card and it is not able to play F3 maxed out! Not even close... Playing on 1920x1080 with AA x4 and AF x8 Ultra High (most of the settings are lowered up to about 30%)

My PC specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
2GB DDR2 RAM
Sapphire Radeon 5850 1024MB, did overclock it from 725/1000 up to 800/1100
Windows XP-32 Professional SP3

No idea what my Motherboard is, I can't spot it when I was lookin' for it and EVEREST says 'Unknown'

Just to clarify, I did try to check if my GPU is overheating - but hell no! Max temp I've ever spotted was 66C, same as my CPU actually... and I do have the newest drivers for my GPU.
Anybody got any idea what the problem might be?

Fallout was updated to 1.7 English Version
