For anyone who uses my personal version of Service Requireme

Post » Sat Jun 18, 2011 5:26 pm

As someone who has admittedly played very little of the game, which quite obviously includes never having joined any of the factions, I've found it kind of confusing to keep track of them. As far as I know, there's no in-game reference for the requirements to advance through any of the factions, which becomes something of an issue if you're using a mod like Service Requirements that makes those requirements significant.

So, last night at work, I whipped up a http://btb2.free.fr/temp/factions.zip that can be printed out. I'm not sure if this was the best way to format everything, so let me know what you think:

Well, I can say that I was confused when I was first looking at it. After a minute or two though, you figure out how it is laid out and it becomes very helpful. On a different note, it seems that the skills i like most all belong to the Morag Tong. Too bad I don't like them, otherwise that would be quite convenient.. :shifty:

I don't know, I can't say I've ever felt the need to know more than the game already tells you in the first place (what you need for the next rank).

What I have a bigger problem with is the ridiculous requirements for the upper ranks in a faction. I mean, is it really necessary that you have 100 in the relevant skills and stats to become the leader of a faction? The previous leaders clearly weren't held to such rigorous standards. Upping the requirements to a certain extent is a good thing, but I really don't like having to have an endgame character just to do all the quests for a given faction.

I'd definitely appreciate an "Easy" version with a more sane cap for max requirements, at any rate.

I've never paid attention to them much, but I've never been the paid assassin type. Normally I try to avoid a fight (hence the stealthy skills) as I'm a bit of a coward. I end up killing someone because they attack me (at which point my split personality goes into killer mode and I beat the crap out of the guy unarmed), not because I'm being paid to do so. But perhaps I should try roleplaying as one~
