Big pictures since I'm too lazy to resize.

Ignore the boots, gloves, pants and brown skirt, those textures are incomplete. Here's what I need advice on -- the back of the leather tunic looks a bit bland to me. I think it might look better if I extended the gold trim that you see on the front of the tunic around to bottom edge and along the arm holes. My boyfriend -- the only other person available to ask -- thinks it looks fine like it is. Normally I'd just add trim and compare, but . . . adding trim is a huge pain. The UV map edge is all zig-zaggy, and it took me nearly a whole day to get that much trim done and looking good. I'm too far along to change the UV map now, so that option is out.

So, my question is: moar gold trim along all the edges, or leave it as is?

Any other suggestions are appreciated too; the goal is to make an armor that will fit into Skyrim without breaking immersion/clashing with existent meshes too badly. This is designed around my Skyrim character concept.

I would extend it. Just make a clone of the mesh and change the UV on that to suit your needs or use a separate UV channel, and texture on that layout, then bake across to the final UV layout. You can up size the UV shell you are working with and ignore the rest of the meshes UV..

I know it yeah, detailed trim that curves is difficult to do without using photoshop to warp it.... which will destroy the detail really quick,

I would also add a seam and reinforced pieces of the leather. As is it looks like you made that female briast plate with a single piece of leather....

you would need to add darts and cuts and stitch the pieces together, For a start the front and back pieces, you want a seam up the sides. to get the briast mounds working needs some construction as well. You can make some nice logical shapes onto the armor giving it more detail if you think about it.

also needs a hem on the arm holes and around the bottom.

I would also consider decorative leather detailing and or simply parts that are reinforced. Like corseted area at the front to accentuate the form, give it something to catch the eye and make it more armor like. This will allow you to break up the leather texture, perhaps using a different type or color tone, but also allow you to break up the leather texture pattern.
