How to get Sound Files Louder Ingame?

Hello,

I have successfully added sound files (specifically music/songs) to my mod with the GECK. However, they are way too quiet.

The sound files are old ~1920's songs downloaded from YouTube.

My first solution was to increase the volume in dB with the audio program (Sony ACID Music Studio 7.0) I used to convert the files to .wav, ~44 kHz, mono, PCM files. Obviously putting it at its maximum (~ +12 dB) made it very poor quality, and anything less was still not loud enough.

My second solution was to have the volume at the maximum for when I first download the files (YouTube Downloader), and then repeat the first solution in addition. Here, I also reduced the Mid EQ (dB) to eventually -25 dB (to reduce that 'static' from being too loud). But, this still not did achieve the desired result.

I noticed the few editing tools when you open the sound file, but I don't quite understand them, although I am trying to.

What should I do or what am I doing wrong?
