It occurred to me the other day that I never use Power Armor. I just don't like the idea of it.
It's kind of a Fallout icon, though.
So, where do you guys fall on the use of Power Armor?

It depends on the character I'm playing. Evil Roy Slade wears the Tribal Power Armor from the Pitt. The look of it fits him, and the stat boosts it provides are bonus.

Whenever I can, especially in the originals.

In the originals all the time.

In FNV and F3 depends.

In the older games, once I get power armor it never comes off.

In Fallout 3, I had one character who was gung-ho for the Brotherhood, and he wore Winterized T-51b all the time. With my other characters, I would get the training and keep a suit of fully repaired PA around, but I would rarely wear it. I found Ranger Battle Armor to be better, overall. Ranger BA, Wanderers Leather, are my favorites.

In NV, I've only worn PA with one character, one allied with the Brotherhood. Brotherhood T-51b. Never used it with my other 6-8 characters. Regular Combat Armor is as heavy as I usually go.

It's almost essential in the originals, is that right? I understand it's a lot more powerful.

Used to use the Enclave Power Armor in FO2, that's about it.
Don't like the design and don't like the idea behind it.
I'd rather that BOS and Enclave both get wiped out and all PA's destroyed along with them.
Simply tired of seeing space marines walking around.

I use it all the time after gaining access to it. I had to mod both Fallout 3 and New Vegas to make it practical to use in those games though; Bethesda and Obsidian nerfed PA way too much.

All the time in the originals, and Always use the Remnant PA.

Depends on the character, but basically very rarely.
Its the same in most games, fantasy or SF I tend to prefer characters who use light or no armour
