Right. I've been playing Daggerfall, and I'm doing a mission for the King of Worms. After spending hours dungeon crawling, I finally found the Lich I was meant to kill.

Run over to it, equip Silver Katana, and THE MATERIAL OF THE WEAPON YOU ARE USING IS INEFFECTIVE.

So I look it up on UESP, and it says that they are only affected by Mithril weapons or better, which I don't have. I really can't be bothered to go ALL the way back here, so can someone tell me if there's a method of hacking weapons into my inventory? Thanks in advance

Daghex. Let me see if I can remember where I found it.

Unzip it your Dagger folder and run it from there. It's very easy to use. Backup your saves, choose which saved game you want to edit, choose #9 - Item Editor, cycle through your items with N and P till you find your silver weapon, change it's name and material (or change it's material but continue calling it "silver"), then save and exit a few times with 0 (zero) key.

My one problem with the program is that I cannot run "Dagger" after running it. I have to run dag213, the patcher, and choose (N)o before I can run "Dagger" again. It's a minor inconvenience at worst.
