Don't really care either way, quite frankly. I preorder most games anyway, and for those I don't I often end up getting a copy with an unused bonus still inside. That, and some companies have been pretty good about releasing preorder bonuses at a later date like with Red Dead Redemption.

I was talking more about out-of-game items.

Ah! Changed my vote to "Other". I don't really care about physical, real-life objects at all when it comes to video games. If I pick up a Collector's Edition or whatever, it will just be to give the devs extra support. I have enough clutter in my house, thanks :)

Collector's Edition needs to come with everything.

It doesn't make any sense if it doesn't, because people who are buying the collector's edition are paying more than everyone else...

But I would just prefer there to be no pre-order in-game bonuses at all... Just have the collector's edition come with the bonus content. Because if you get into pre-order bonuses you start to have different bonuses at different retailers and it just gets annoying.

I was fine with the pre-order bonuses, provided the gamestore actually give you the correct boxes containing them. I pre-ordered F:NV and was promised the Classic Pack. The game was sent to me but it was just a regular version without any pre-order code. So I sent them an email and they gave me a code that didn't even work.

So all in all it's nice to see pre-order bonuses, provided they are actually in the package. So if this is going to happen with Skyrim, I hope they will have some kind of visible sticker on the packages so the guys at the gamestores will actually know which ones have the bonuses and which ones do not.

Next to that, the Collector's Edition should come with all the pre-order stuff in my opinion; just because it's supposed to be the most complete, limited and expensive version. But that's just me. ;)

Doesn't usually sway me one way or the other. Any in-games items are usually superficial and quickly replaced. Something physical (map, figurine) would probably catch my eye.

But in general it's just stupid retailers playing stupid marketing games. Let them have their fun, it doesnt affect me any...

Its stupid. You shouldnt get anything special just because you choose one store over another. I dont give a damn about the sellers, I just want to play Skyrim.

Unfortunately, that's how business can work to gain the businessman some advantages.

The only game I ever pre-ordered was Fallout: New Vegas and I couldn't care less about getting a bonus. It did make the journey to Primm easier, but not by a lot. I ordered a physical copy through an online retailer (happened to be Wal-mart) so it was mailed to me. I am too lazy to drive into town and waste $4 in gas when I can get free shipping.

In a single player game? No way. Pre-order items exist just to show off, and should probably stick to multiplayer games.
