new nVidia SLi drivers for AMD 990x/990fx chipsets!

Ok, not sure how many of you have a new AMD AM3+ capable motherboard w/ AMD 900 series chipset (990X / 990FX) that now has "nVidia SLi capabilities". I for one do, just got a new Asus SaberTooth 990FX motherboard (yes, it's awsome!) and these new AMD 900 series chipsets now support nVidia SLi technology, basically because the "nForce" chipsets are dead and gone, never to be seen again. So, AMD obtained the nVidia SLi license and their motherboards go one step beyond Intel's, they now support "BOTH" AMD/ATi CrossFire and nVidia SLi. As far as I am aware of, it's the 990X and 990FX that supports SLi.

To be able to use SLi successfully on these chipsets, you need this nVidia Geforce Driver: ver. 275.50 available here..

Win7 x64 / Vista x64: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-275.50-beta-driver.html
Win7 x32 / Vista x32: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-32bit-275.50-beta-driver.html
WinXP: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-275.50-beta-driver.html
WinXP x64: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp64-275.50-beta-driver.html

There is also a 275.50 (whql) out, it does NOT support SLi on AMD chipsets, you must use the "beta version" above, other than it adding support for SLi on AMD 900 series chipsets, it's the same driver.

Just thought I'd let anyone that needs them know...

The Triple Decker!!! Yeah i might got with the MSI or the Asus Matrix GTX580. not sure. how does the Asus one over clock? I have a asus dc5850 but i flashed the bios to a MSI 5870 Bios for use with the MSI Afterburner. I love my Asus Card. But with Battlefield 3 coming i want more fire power.

It OCs really well and it's designed to cause it has voltage tweak software but you can use afterburner, when the voltage is raised you can fire it up quite well: VRAM 2400MHz /GPU 950MHz.

Not trying to nitpick, but intel x58 boards have supported both SLI and Crossfire since their release.

Yes but, now AMD changed their business model to allow it as well. This is very interesting as it signals to me that they see Intel as more of a threat than Nvidia and they are aiming to improve the value of their bulldozer chips and AM3+ boards more than their cards.

My next computer may be crossfire, I am not sure. I'm still quite happy with my i7 920 processor @3.5ghz and single 5870.

Intel also had some sort of arrangement with nVidia too, yes?
